Yet again we just had the most fab holiday, infact Liz, is now living in Qatar and our plan was to visit her next year and then on to do some time in the Maldives...well scraped....back to El Roble for us!

Last year I suffered my new bathrooms v yours and yours left us standing, this year my new kitchen v yours and you have done it again!!! Love love the fridge and the pan cupboard. You really are making the Villa fabulous.

As you can imagine really busy now trying to catch up so apologies for the short mail. Could I ask you see if we can secure the following dates for next year and let me have the cost.




Hope that the new arrivals are doing well and no doubt are being spolit by you both.

"We have just returned from a fantastic 11 day holiday at Villa El Roble.
Everything about the booking was simple and straightforward and we were met on our arrival day by the owner Geoff who showed us to the villa and how everything worked.

The villa was spotlessly clean and the fabulous kitchen had every pot pan, gadget or utensil you might need. The rooms were light and airy with modern furnishings and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was a real bonus.

The outdoor areas around the villa are great and the pool has sun all day, although the palm trees give shade which was nice as it did get very hot while we were there.

The large swimming pool was sparkling and clean and the water temperature was just right. Some pools we have had in other villas have been too cold , even in the height of summer, to enjoy but the pool at El Roble was lovely.
Geoff and his partner Nicki were extremely helpful and gave us some ideas for great days out. We had a lovely day in Ronda, with its spectacular Mountain scenery and a day trip to Gibraltar ( both easy days out with a car) Many beaches are also within minutes drive of the villa.
All in all we had a fabulous holiday and would not hesitate to recommend the villa to family and friends and if we travel to this part of Spain again will definitely be staying at El Roble."

Hope that you are enjoying your holiday...how could you not???

We all had a fabulous time at your lovely villa, trouble is, it is too easy to be lazy up there on the hill..oh well all holidays have their challenges ha ha.

I will mail over the dates for next year at the weekend..pity we are off to Borneo in Feb or I think me and Pete would have come over in May too. Well maybe I will be able to sloppy soap him!!! Seriously though long haul, tropical weather, jet lag, 5star pressure of what to wear, when to eat the price of a G&T etc...Why would you do it when all you really want to do is relax, I have realised I am getting a bit past my adventure holidays.....so El Roble here we come.

Hi Geoff and Nicki,

We all really enjoyed our holiday and your villa was superb! Absolutely everything had been thought of, the kitchen was equipped better than ours and having booked villas for a number of years now it felt more like staying in someone's home rather than just a holiday rental. The bathrooms were lovely, with powerful showers that worked properly and the view from the bath was to die for! We all loved the pool which was huge, and it was really nice to have a proper swim rather than it being something to just cool off in. The 'pool bar' was also a firm favourite with the girls, and perfect to sit at with a G and T watching the sun over the mountains. We visited some of the local towns but our favourite part of our holiday was knowing that we were going back to Villa El Roble, getting the bbq started and sitting out on the enormous terrace with a glass of something, taking in the amazing views! I could go on but am probably rambling now so will finish by saying how nice it was to meet you both and how much we appreciate you meeting us, despite our late night arrival (and detour!!!). The personal touch made all the difference and is what set this villa holiday apart from all the others we have had.

I have no sympathy for you when you say it is still very hot! It is cold and wet here and would swap with you anytime! As I have said it was really lovely meeting you both and we will have great memories of our stay at El Roble. If you watch X factor, Erin commented that the villa was like one of the judge's houses!! Praise indeed.

Hi Geoff & Nicki

When we arrived home from the Villa, we looked out of our bedroom window on Sunday morning and were very disappointed not to have the view of the sea and the rock of Gibraltor but we're SLOWLY coming to terms with it!

Villa was fantastic (best one we've had in our many years of villa holidays) and it was nice to meet you and have the personal touch of being shown around. It's also nice to have a good sized pool so you can have a proper swim.

As we said, would love to come back and stay at El Roble again and will hopefully be in touch next year.

Take care and enjoy the sunshine (we're not jealous at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hi Geoff and Nicki,

Back in Holland and back to work but still in a very good holiday spirit!
It was great to finally meet you to and to stay in your villa.
We had a great time and enjoyed the villa so much that we hardly ever left "the mountain" except for getting new supplies and see the family!
The pool was well used and cooling, the terras beautiful, the rooms were great(beautiful bathrooms), the big TV screen was greet to watch the Dutch football matches, the kitchen provided us with everything we needed and the view was to die for!
Thanks again for a wonderful stay and who knows maybe we will meet again!

I have been renting villas for over 15 years, and this is the best I have ever had - superbly equipped, very spacious and a great pool. The owners could not have been more helpful - wish all my villa rental holidays had been like this! Altogether strongly recommended for a great holiday. (Note: A car is absolutely essential.)
Recommended for: Age 55+, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Seems like ages ago now that we were luxuriating in your lovely villa and enjoying the fantastic views whilst supping a glass or two of the local cava. We had a fantastic holiday and thank you very much for making us so welcome. We had a really easy journey home from Gibraltar airport.
